East Coast Spirit Sessions

Todd Landman had the pleasure of performing and lecturing at the 2020 Annual East Coast Spirit Sessions (ECCS) in Myrtle Beach, USA. With over 80 participants, the sessions covered many different dimensions of mystery entertainment over several days of performances, lectures, workshops, and informal gatherings.

He provided an overview of his concept of the Academic Magician and performed a number of his signature effects, including Wittgenstein’s Beetle, Cogito Ergo Sum, Icons, Machiavelli’s Prince, Ring of Gyges, and Roderick’s Diary.

These explored the nature of language, the separation between mind and body, the power or metaphysical icons, the importance of great thinkers in history, the temptation to commit unjust acts as found in Plato's Republic, and the existential challenges of a young boy growing up in Leeds during World War II.
