Dr Todd Landman's second full stage show 'An Evening of Enchantment' had its sell-out debut on 12 February 2010 at the Headgate Theatre in Colchester.
Since then, the show has travelled in various incarnations to the Pumphouse as part of the Aldebrugh Festival, Treadwells Bookshop in Covent Garden, Clifftown Theatre in Southend on Sea, Milton Theatre at Huddersfield University, and the London Festival of Magic on 16 November 2011.
The demonstrations throughout the show raise questions about rational deduction, magical deception and mystical powers all couched in an entertaining yet wry style involving contributions from the audience.
The explorations in the show are framed with reference to 'Unobserved Worlds' and 'Journeys' and the show includes audio-visuals to complement the mystery entertainment.
Act I: Unobserved Worlds
How much of the world do you perceive? How much of what you know is based on preconception? How aware are you? What do you not see? What do you not feel? What do you not hear? What do you not smell? What do you not know?
Act II: Journeys
What are the best journeys of your life? Where have you been? Where would you like to go? What have you learned? What other kinds of journeys have you made? Have you ever made journeys in your mind? Have you ever made journeys to other worlds? What are they like? Where are you now?
The show is suitable for theatres, stately homes, hotel and conference functions, and other venues with a stage or performance platform.
