Human Rights Violations Icons

Over the last year, I have been working with Jonathan Crook, Managing Director of Cyberalpha, a partner technology company based at the University of Essex on a set of icons that can be used for visualising human rights violations. The icons are perfect for events-data projects, awareness raising and advocacy campaigns. These were released yesterday in honour of International Human Rights Day. New Technologies and Human Rights

Looking forward to the seminar next week on New Technologies and Human Rights. The increased availability of open source data and dynamic web-based tools means that now more than ever, human rights advocates have amazing tools to promote and advance human rights.

The event will discuss this general theme and related challenges.
